It was tech week in the library this week. Students in 2nd - 4th grades practiced logging into MyOn.com an online reading site that recommends books on students' reading levels and tracks the amount of reading that they are doing. (They can even use it from home and count it on their reading logs) Students in Kinder were challenged to log on to the laptops by themselves - there were quite a few successes! Then they had time to practice reading and math skills on Starfall.com. 1st grade classes began with an unplugged activity on sequencing and looping. Then they practiced coding algorithms using Code.org.
4th grade classes were using online resources to research Native American tribes.

I'm not just a 3rd grade teacher; I'm also our technology coach! This year I will highlight some of the little things that we do that contribute to making our campus great.
